WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAR
It wasn't my first choice because it was a graduation present from my grandma. It was actually my dad's for a short amount of time as a replacement for his old BMW that broke. My parents didn't want me in a coupe so they said I take the car or i'll end up with a civic. I willingly took the car knowing its capabilities as a performance platform that shares everything with the 350Z.
WHAT WAS THE MAIN GOAL WHEN THE BUILD STARTED
The main goal was to build a street style car like the ones I grew up seeing on Video Option, JDM Insider, and Drift Tengoku. Keeping things simple enough to be used daily on the street, but able to throw down on the track.
DO YOU HAVE A UNIQUE STORY BEHIND THE CAR OR BUILD
Daily driven since senior year of high school, even took it to prom. Learned to touge, drift, and track when it was an auto open diff setup for 6 years.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS FOR THE CAR
I'm pretty much 90% done with the car at the moment. It's getting some gram lights and a clutch type diff. The setup I have is always how I wanted it to be in terms of performance and handling. Everything after this is probably gradual cosmetic changes over time and maybe power mods.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IF YOU COULD GO BACK
I wouldn't change anything one bit because the journey I have with it now is what taught me the skills. Every upgrade served a purpose as I improved my driving abilities over time. I was never one to over build the car because it would waste valuable seat time and the common excuse of "I don't have the right setup yet". I followed the JDM mindset I was raised on in that I learned the car bone stock to appreciate every upgrade in my progress as a driver.
