WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAR

I chose the Nissan 240SX because it a very easy chassis to learn how to drift in. They are light weight, very well weight distribution, and the motor originally comes from a truck so you know that is gonna have some torque. Overall in my opinion its a perfect chassis to learn in. Others will tell you different, but I will stick to my 240.

WHAT WAS THE MAIN GOAL WHEN THE BUILD STARTED

The main goal when I first got the car was to have it as wide as I could within my budget lol. Slam it on the ground till I was dragging my body kit, and just make it how I want and still be able to slide. For all in the local car scene and car community of San Diego they know that my car has changed quite a few times because sometimes I would just look at it and think ā€œthats not me, thats not how I want my car to lookā€ so I would change it. Especially with wheels, I’m always changing wheels.

DO YOU HAVE A UNIQUE STORY BEHIND THE CAR OR BUILD

The story behind the coupe that not many people believe is that I got it from an old lady first and original owner for a steal. None of that drift tax nonsense. She was actually from Temecula where I used to live, about 10 mins from my old house. The funniest part was that I found it on offer up. At first I thought I was a joke because of the price and the profile picture was just some guy. But when I asked if it was still available he replied ā€œyeahā€. So in my head I’m still thinking its a joke, but also maybe its not. So I took the chance and drove all the way back up there and I kid u not it was the most pristine 240 I’ve seen. I already had the money pulled from the bank with just a small amount of hope that this was real. Sure enough it was. The older woman came out and asked if I was the one purchasing her precious car. another thing is that she mainly kept it in the garage and only took it out on someĀ Ā weekends. 158K miles if I remember correctly. Not and for a car thats almost 30 years old. So, I had to buy it right then and there it was mine. Hell of a deal all original and super clean. She had asked what my intensions were when I finally get the car home and I dint want to give her a heart attack and say ā€œoh yeah you know go drifting in it, slam it to the floor and camber out the wheels.ā€ Would have been hilarious if I did, but I just told her that I was gonna just keep it clean and simple. Woooo the look on her face if she saw it now Ha, she would be in for a surprise. That same day I drove over to a friends house not to far away from where I bought the car and they had all my parts waiting for me. I did have another 240 at the time, it was a hatch back. Drove all the way home back to San Diego with all my parts and immediately started wrenching away. I stayed up all night and had already converted all the suspension, brakes, 5 lug, dual caliper, hydro, everything from my old chassis. It was damn ready too drift in less the 8 hours. Anyway thats the little back story of the car.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS FOR THE CAR

Future plans for the coupe… my plans are always changing, so I have not fully settled on what I am for certain going to do. What I have started so far is a full front end conversion S/O to the homie Shawn with hooking it up with the Silvia hood and superfood kit and S/O to josh @e_ought / Behrens garage for hooking it up with the Front origin type 3 fenders. Engine wise, I still don’t know what imma do. I would like to keep it as JDM as possible sooo who knows what motor ill throw in there.Ā Ā Definitely gonna paint the car inside and out, throw a lil bit of Hot Boii livery and some Spicy Boii flake on there too. I think the direction Im head in with my build and where Im headed personally with drifting, I am loving it. S/O to my loving girl friend who has supported me with all my car stuff and just me lol. She is super supportive and I love her for that. Other than that, that is pretty much all I can think of for my future plans for the car.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IF YOU COULD GO BACK

To be honest, theres nothing that I would change. The journey that I have gone through with my car it made me who I am. Made me realize that I truly know what I am going for and the direction I am head towards. Now If I had known what I do now, that is a whole other scenario. But to just go back in time and change anything, I wouldn’t change a thing. Honest truth.
