WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAR

It was a car that I wanted for a longtime in high school. When it first came out I thought it was the coolest looking car, and it was the best car I have ever driven. Plus, it was the cheapest option I had. $3500 for an FRS that only had 58K miles and has a clean title? Who wouldn’t pick it LOL. But for real choosing this car was the best decision I’ve made. I always find myself randomly cruising it at night with no destination in mind because those nights are where I feel free.

WHAT WAS THE MAIN GOAL WHEN THE BUILD STARTED

I wanted to have a car that not only felt good while driving it but to also look cool too. My main influences for making the car how it is now was from the late 90s to early 2000s drift cars from Japan. Cars that came from Video Option and D1 Street Legal was the inspiration I had in mind when modding my car, as those cars were mainly focused on driving while still keeping a relatively clean and simple look to them that made them look stylish while sliding.

DO YOU HAVE A UNIQUE STORY BEHIND THE CAR OR BUILD

I was actually not supposed to get this car a while back because it used to belong to my brother, and he was trading it in for a brand-new Tacoma. I was completely bummed out that day because I thought I was going to get the FRS from him, after he told me he would sell it to me. However, I was sucker punched hard that day because when we came back from the dealership, my parents were yelling at him for getting a horrendous looking Tacoma LOL and for getting rid of the FRS without telling them. My parents then told me that they are going to call Toyota to get the FRS back, and both me and my parents will split the loan to pay it off so that I can own it. Fast forward to the next day, and I came back home with the FRS. On that day I literally believed the quote from Transformers “The driver don’t pick the car, the car pick the driver” was real because for a good moment I thought I lost the FRS, and then all of a sudden the car was like “Nah I’m coming back home with you” and now here we are.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS FOR THE CAR

I still have a long way to go to achieve the vision I have for the FRS. I want to get more suspension parts, supporting mods, a body kit, and performance mods to make the car act and look on how I want it to be as I’m planning to drift it sometime soon in the near future.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IF YOU COULD GO BACK

Nahhhhhhhh, I would’ve done the same damn thing if I was given the opportunity. The mods I have done to it were done in an order to where I believed I'd get the most out of the car, but also the most out of my money.
